The Annual NEBT Stallion Auction
Each year in February, the Northeast Breeders Trust holds a Stallion Service Auction to raise money to fund purses for the NEBT futurity held in October at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse NY.
This important breeder-sponsored event supports and promotes the Reining Horse industry throughout the Northeastern US and Eastern Canada by providing an outstanding opportunity to showcase some the best the Reining Industry has to offer.
Three year-olds from all stallions that sell seasons at the 2026 online auction hosted by Perfect Horse Auctions will be eligible to enter the 2026 NEBT Futurity. Seventy Percent of auction proceeds fund purses and awards for the Futurity. Then 20% of the proceeds are awarded to owners of the sires of the top five open scores, and the top five non-pro scores. Also, sires from each L4 entry will be awarded $100.
We hope you will consider enrolling your stallions to the 2026 NEBT Stallion Service Auction. As breeders, we appreciate your participation and all you do to support the continued growth of the performance horse in the hearts and minds of everyone who appreciates these truly talented horses.
2025 NEBT Futurity Eligibility Rules
- Get of stallions sold in the 2025 Auction are ELIGABLE for NEBT and have no additional fees.
- Stallions who were in the auction and did not sell can be nominated for $300. This will make ALL three year olds by that stallion eligible. (This can be a shared cost among exhibitors.)
- Stallions who were not in the auction or deceased can be nominated for $500. This will only apply to one (1) three year old and will not make any other three year old by the deceased stallion eligible.
- Stallion Owners are given 1 free entry (regardless if the stallion sells or not). This entry can be given to ANYONE and is for the LOWEST level that the rider is eligible. Exhibitor who is not the owner must present written documentation that they have been given the free entry. Printed documentation should be brought to the office or emailed to yrhacourtney@yahoo.com. Does NOT include judges fee.
- Owners of the stallions who do not have any three year olds by their stallion can use their entry for personal entry on another NEBT eligible horse (ridden by them or by a trainer). This entry can not be given away. Does NOT include judges fee. .
